NICU RN Travel/Contract Job
Overview
- Specialty: Registered Nurse
- Location: Madison, Wisconsin
- Employment type: Travel/Contract
- Contract length: 13 weeks
- Shift: Day/Night, 3x12 hours
- Hours: 36 per week
- Shift times: 7:00am–7:30pm and 7:00pm–7:30am
- Schedule: Friday–Sunday
Required Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Wisconsin
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care (2 years of experience)
- NICU - Neonatal Intensive Care experience within the last year
- BLS issued by American Heart Association
- NRP issued by American Heart Association
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Experience with post-operative patients
- Experience with g-tubes
- Experience with tracheostomy and ventilator management
- Experience with various modes of invasive and noninvasive ventilation
Experience Details
- Level III and Level IV NICU experience may be combined to meet the 2-year total, but at least 1 year must be in a Level IV NICU.
- Experience with post-op patients, g-tubes, trach/vents management, and invasive/noninvasive ventilation is listed.

- Wisconsin caregiver screening and BID form
- Background check
- Employment application
- References: 2 clinical references within the last 3 years
- Skills checklist
- TB questionnaire and TB clearance documentation
- MMR immunity or acceptable exemption documentation
- Varicella immunity or acceptable exemption documentation
- Hepatitis B documentation or declination
- Tdap documentation
- Flu vaccination or acceptable exemption documentation during flu season
- Drug screen
- Physical exam
- Fit mask completed onsite
