Description

Pediatric Stepdown RN

Overview

Travel/contract role in Madison, Wisconsin
13-week assignment
36 hours per week
12-hour day or night shifts
Schedule includes Monday through Friday with every other weekend required

Clinical Setting

Pediatric unit with a mix of general medical and stepdown intermediate care patients
Patient population includes neuro, diabetic, nephrology, spinal fusion, intermediate care, and general care
May care for pulmonary-line patients and respiratory failure cases that may require tracheostomy and ventilator dependence
CPAP and BiPAP are used on the unit

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Wisconsin
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
Pediatric PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
Pediatric Med Surg experience
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association
PALS - Pediatric Advanced Life Support issued by American Heart Association
Experience with Epic

Additional Notes

Every other weekend is required
