PCU Travel/Contract Job

Overview

Employment type: Travel/Contract
Shift: Night, 3x12 hours, 19:00–7:30
Contract length: 13 weeks

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Colorado
PCU - Progressive Care Unit (2 years of experience)
PCU - Progressive Care Unit experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
ACLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Schedule and Work Expectations

Weekend shifts required per unit needs, with a minimum of 5 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule
On-call required: 1 day every 6 weeks
Travelers float first and may float to sister facilities within the South Region as needed
First-time travelers are accepted if experience requirements are met

Unit Details

Cardiovascular thoracic progressive care unit
Telemetry-focused unit caring for cardiovascular and thoracic patients, including those before and after cardiac catheterization, vascular interventions, open-heart surgery, and thoracic surgery
Common patient populations include chest pain, heart failure, arrhythmias, and other cardiovascular and thoracic conditions
Typical ratios: 1:3 for progressive patients and 1:4 for more acute patients, with a maximum of 5

Navy blue scrubs required
Charting system: EPIC
