MS/Tele Nurse

Overview

Travel/contract RN position in Farmington, Missouri
Night shift: 3x12s, 6:30 PM–7:00 AM
36 guaranteed hours per week
Every other weekend required
First-time travelers accepted
Floating within scope is required
Local candidates are not accepted; local radius is 75 miles
RTO limit: 7 days

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Missouri
Med Surg / Telemetry (1 year of experience)
Med Surg / Telemetry experience within the last year
BLS issued by American Heart Association
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing

Preferred

ACLS
NIH Stroke Certification

Clinical Details

Ratios: 6–7 patients to 1 nurse
Average daily census: 30
Unit has 61 beds
Common patient types include ortho, chest pain, pneumonia, cellulitis, TIA, and some general surgical patients
Neuro patients are transferred out
Occasional pediatric patients are not assigned to travelers
Lifts and CPM for knees may be used

Additional Notes

On-call is not required
Navy scrubs required
EPIC charting is used
Parking is free
