Step Down RN

Location

Charlottesville, Virginia

Assignment Details

Travel/Contract role
13 weeks
Day shift, 3x12 hours, 7:00–19:00
36 or 48 hours per week
Every other weekend and every other holiday
Must work 2 of the 3 winter holidays
Can approve 40 hours for time off
12-bed intermediate-level unit using critical care and neuroscience principles
Patient ratio: 1:3
Common patient populations include transfers from Neuro ICU, neuro trauma, subarachnoid, intraventricular or intracerebral hemorrhage, ENT cancer patients after tumor resection and flap reconstruction, post-operative spine patients, and other neurological problems
Must adhere to float policy

Required Qualifications

Valid RN license in Virginia
Stepdown experience with 1 year of experience
Stepdown experience within the last year
ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association
BLS - Basic Life Support issued by American Heart Association or American Red Cross
NIHSS
Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
Experience with Epic

Preferred Qualifications

BSN is preferred; ASN is required if BSN is not held
