Philadelphia MRI Technologist Job Details

• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19104 (University City)
• Healthcare Setting: Hospital-based medical imaging department
• Employment Type: Local, On-Site MRI Technologist position

MRI Technologist Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience as an MRI Technologist in a hospital or healthcare setting
• ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registered in MRI
• Current CPR certification
• Strong knowledge of MRI safety protocols and clinical procedures
• Excellent communication and patient care skills

Key Responsibilities for MRI Technologist

• Perform a variety of MRI and MRA procedures, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging
• Operate MRI scanners, RF coils, workstations, laser cameras, film processors, patient monitoring equipment, and MR injectors
• Assist radiologists with diagnostic and therapeutic imaging procedures
• Screen patients for biomedical and metallic implants; obtain and review relevant medical history
• Educate and assist patients in understanding MRI procedures and preparation
• Follow established protocols for all MRI studies and maintain high standards of professionalism
• Participate in on-call, holiday, and weekend rotations as required
