MRI Technologist Job Requirements

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiology Technologist required
1 year of experience in CT or MRI preferred
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Completion of an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program required
Registered Technologist (R) license required
Registered Technologist (MR) license required
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) MR certification required within 2 years from date of hire

Radiology Technologist Responsibilities

Perform MRI studies following established protocols set by Radiologists
Operate MRI scanner to produce high-quality diagnostic images
Prepare scan room and equipment for MRI procedures
Position patients, coils, and equipment for optimal imaging results
Maintain clear and compassionate communication with patients throughout scanning procedures
Ensure patient safety and comfort during all MRI procedures
Collaborate with the radiology healthcare team to deliver excellent patient care
