- Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–5:30 PM
- Tuesday–Friday, 9:00 AM–7:30 PM
- Openings: 1
- Pay Rate: $93/hour
- Estimated Weekly Pay Range: $2,331–$2,590/week
Qualifications & Requirements (ARRT MRI Technologist)
- Experience: 2+ years of MRI Technologist experience (hospital, local, and/or contract experience preferred, not required)
- Education: High School Diploma/GED (required)
- Training: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology and/or MRI Technology program (required)
- Certification: ARRT (MRI) required
- Additional Credential: MRI Certification (required)
- Preferred: CT Certification
- Systems: Ability to work with EMR imaging orders (Epic experience helpful)
- Skills: MRI safety screening, IV placement, contrast administration support, image quality/QA, patient monitoring, and strong clinical documentation
Key Responsibilities (Hospital MRI Tech)
- Verify diagnosis, prescription, imaging orders (Epic), and patient identification; document accurately and consistently.
- Greet and prepare patients; confirm identity; explain MRI procedures clearly to patients and families.
- Obtain patient history and complete MRI safety screening for surgeries, implants, and contraindications; address patient concerns.
- Obtain consent for contrast when applicable and verify GFR as needed.
- Start IVs/place angiocatheters and support/administer IV MRI contrast agents per provider direction and facility protocol.
- Operate MRI scanner, RF coils, workstations, patient monitoring equipment, and MR injectors to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
- Archive and verify images; produce hard-copy output as needed.
- Perform quality assurance testing consistent with departmental protocols.
- Monitor patient status, tolerance, and wellbeing throughout the exam; respond appropriately to changes.
- Support radiologists, physicians, and other facility care team members during procedures according to applicable facility protocols.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA, TJC, DOH, and other mandated safety procedures and regulations.
- Maintain inventory and supplies for assigned workstation; rotate stock and remove outdated items.
- Respond to emergency situations according to department policies.
- Communicate equipment problems and image-quality issues promptly.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships within the facility.
