Travel CT Technologist / Radiologic Technologist needed in Washington, DC – pediatric cardiac cath lab, 13-week contract. Join a specialized pediatric cardiac cath/EP team serving neonates through adults in the 20010 area.
Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $1,970 – $2,120
- Location: Washington, DC 20010 (Washington, DC healthcare jobs, DC travel rad tech)
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 6, 2026 – July 6, 2026)
- Shift: Day shifts, 3x12-hour (07:00 – 15:30)
- Hours per Week: Guaranteed 40 hours/week
- On-Call: Required (must be able to be on-site within 2 hours from call)
- Patient Caseload: Approximately 4 cases/day
- Setting: Pediatric Cardiac Cath Lab / Interventional Cardiac Cath lab / EP Lab
Key Qualifications (CT / Rad Tech)
- Minimum 2 years of pediatric cardiac cath / EP lab experience (neonatal and pediatric catheterizations)
- Valid state Radiology license required (DC license required before start; pending applications accepted with proof)
- Certifications: ACLS, PALS, BLS, CCI RCIS preferred
- Experience with Siemens equipment and other cath lab imaging systems
- Strong skills in scrub and circulate roles, EKG lead placement, sterile technique, and vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
- Ability to recognize and respond to life-threatening arrhythmias and maintain accurate monitoring
- COVID-19 vaccine and current booster required (no exemptions)
- Professional references strongly preferred and must be available upon request
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations for pediatric and neonatal patients in the pediatric cath lab
- Scrub and circulate during cases, maintain sterile field, and ensure accurate hemodynamic monitoring
- Set up, operate, and optimize Siemens CT and cath lab imaging equipment
- Prep vascular access sites, place EKG leads, assist with vascular closure devices, and support interventional cardiology procedures
- Recognize and respond to arrhythmias and other emergent situations; participate in on-call rotation
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, anesthesia, nursing) to deliver high-quality pediatric patient care
- Document procedures and maintain compliance with safety and infection control standards
