Job Details

• Position: MRI Technologist / MRI Tech (Night Shift, Travel Contract)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 – $2,670
• Location: Philadelphia, PA 19141 (Philadelphia healthcare jobs, Philadelphia MRI jobs)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (May 4, 2026 – August 3, 2026)
• Shift: Night shift, 5x8-hour (16:00 – 00:00)
• Hours per Week: 40
• On Call: 1–2 nights per week (12:00 AM – 8:00 AM) and every 5th weekend (Sat/Sun – 24 hrs)
• Weekend Requirement: Friday only as part of M-F schedule and on call
• Orientation: 8 hours
• Setting: Level I trauma hospital radiology department (clinical, acute care, community hospital experience preferred)

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of MRI Technologist experience, including Level I trauma experience required.
• ARRT (R) (MR) certification required
• BLS certification required
• Experience with Philips MRI scanners preferred (Philips MRI technologist)
• Comfortable working with patients across the lifespan: neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, geriatrics
• PA license not required
• First-time travel MRI technologists welcome

Key Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations for a diverse patient population in a hospital radiology setting
• Operate Philips MRI equipment and utilize Centricity charting for image documentation
• Provide safe, patient-centered care and adhere to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
• Participate in on-call rotation as scheduled and respond to emergent imaging needs
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary radiology team, including radiologists, nurses, and technologists
• Acquire high-quality images of brain, breast, chest, abdomen, cervical, lumbar, and thoracic regions
• Apply advanced MRI techniques such as diffusion, gradient echo, multiplanar reconstruction, and image post-processing
