Job Details

• Position: Travel CT Technologist / CT Tech (Computed Tomography)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,560 - $2,740
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester CT technologist jobs / New York imaging technologist jobs
• Setting: Level 1 Trauma Center (overnight diagnostic imaging)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Shift: Monday–Thursday, 8:00pm – 6:30am (10-hour overnight shifts)
• On Call: 2–3 call shifts per month

Qualifications & Certifications (CT Technologist / CT Tech)

• Graduate of an approved School of Radiologic Technology (formal training)
• ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) — CT certified preferred
• New York State CT Technologist license required (must obtain prior to start)
• Injection therapy certification indicated on license (required at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center experience
• BLS (American Heart Association) current
• Siemens CT scanner experience (minimum 6 months) — CT vendor experience preferred
• EPIC experience highly desired (electronic health record / imaging documentation)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; patient-focused and compassionate
• Team player with ability to maintain a cohesive, high-performing clinical environment

Key Responsibilities (CT Technologist / Travel CT Tech)

• Perform high-quality computed tomography (CT) scans for trauma and emergency patients during overnight shifts
• Confirm patient identity and verify orders prior to initiating scans, following departmental policy for patient safety
• Coordinate with emergency physicians, radiologists, and clinical teams to provide timely diagnostic imaging
• Prepare patients for CT exams, explain procedures, and ensure patient comfort and safety
• Insert IVs and administer contrast per protocol when required (injection therapy certification required)
• Position and move patients safely, using appropriate lifting and safe patient-handling techniques
• Document exam details accurately in EPIC and ensure images are transmitted to PACS correctly upon exam completion
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized CT suite; participate in on-call, callback, and holiday coverage as needed
