• Position: Travel CT Technologist (CT Tech, Computed Tomography Technologist)
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,440 - $2,620
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642 — Rochester healthcare & New York CT jobs
• Setting: Hospital – Level 1 Trauma Center (trauma center CT technologist experience preferred)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 18, 2026)
• Shift: Friday - Saturday, 7:00pm – 7:30am EST (Weekend Overnights)
• Hours per Week: 36
• Shift Duration: 12-hour shifts
• On Call: 2-3 call shifts/month; holidays and callback as needed

Job Requirements / Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited School of Radiologic Technology
• ARRT certification (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) – CT registered
• Valid New York State CT Technologist license (must obtain prior to start)
• Injection therapy certification indicated on NYS license at time of submission (required) — or willingness to complete injection certification during orientation
• Minimum 2 years of CT technologist experience, including Level 1 Trauma Center or acute care hospital experience
• BLS (American Heart Association ONLY)
• Experience with Siemens CT scanners (minimum 6 months required); Philips CT equipment knowledge preferred
• Epic (EPIC) electronic medical record (EMR) experience highly desired (minimum 1 year preferred)
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; patient-focused and compassionate
• Team player who contributes to a cohesive clinical environment and collaborates with trauma teams

Key Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic CT imaging in a Level 1 Trauma Center, providing accurate, timely CT scans for acute and emergent patients
• Verify patient identity and exam orders, following departmental and patient-safety policies
• Prepare and educate patients for CT exams, obtain informed consent for contrast-enhanced studies when required
• Administer IV contrast and perform IV insertions as needed (injection therapy)
• Safely position patients, assist with transfers, and manage limited-mobility patients
• Operate Siemens and/or Philips CT systems with proficiency; optimize image acquisition and protocols for trauma imaging
• Document and maintain accurate patient records in EPIC; correctly label images and route studies to PACS
• Work closely with radiologists, ED physicians, and multidisciplinary trauma teams to coordinate imaging for critical cases
• Maintain a clean, safe, and compliant scanning environment; follow infection control and radiation safety guidelines
