Job Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CT Technologist experience; solid background with Radiologic Tech / X-Ray or C-Arm experience
• Active ARRT certification (ARRT – Computed Tomography preferred)
• Valid New York State Radiologic Technologist License (NYS License required)
• BLS certification (Basic Life Support)
• Experience providing care to infant, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Familiarity with RIS and PACS systems and electronic charting for radiology exams

Responsibilities

• Perform CT and technical radiographic diagnostic studies as requested (brain, thorax, abdomen, pelvis, spine, facial, extremities)
• Operate CT scanners, radiographic equipment, image processors, and related modalities with accuracy
• Evaluate images for diagnostic quality and ensure accurate patient positioning according to procedure guidelines
• Provide clear, compassionate instructions to patients to reduce stress during procedures and ensure safety
• Administer IV contrast when required and follow protocols for contrast administration and monitoring
• Maintain competency in at least two imaging modalities and participate in ongoing training
• Ensure proper radiation protection for self, patients, and staff; follow NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines
• Demonstrate flexibility to assume emergency call during weekdays, weekends, and holidays
• Use RIS and PACS for entering, editing patient exams, and charge documentation
• Follow infection control protocols and perform required quality control activities on imaging equipment
