Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 – $2,670
- Location: Rockville, MD 20850 (Montgomery County; close to Washington, D.C.)
- Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital, Level II Trauma Center
- Contract Duration: 13 weeks (April 20, 2026 – July 20, 2026)
- Position Type: Travel CT Technologist / Travel Radiologic Technologist (Cath Lab & Interventional Radiology)
- Shift: Day shift, 4x10-hour (07:00 – 17:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Weekend Call: Required – 1 full weekend per month
- On-Call: Approx. 7–10 days per month; STEMI Call team must respond within 30 minutes
- Parking: Free parking in the Patient Visitor Parking Garage
- Scrubs: Provided
- Charting: Cerner, McKesson
- COVID-19 Vaccine: Required (no exemptions)
- No Tobacco Policy: Strict nicotine screening (no forms of nicotine allowed)
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3 years of Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology experience (Cath Lab technologist / IR technologist)
- Trauma Level I experience required
- ARRT (Radiography/CT) with Maryland license or RCIS with strong Cath Lab & IR experience
- BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA)
- Clinical experience with cardiac stent placement, temporary pacemaker, AICD insertion/programming, angioplasty, and sterile technique
- Ability to respond to STEMI calls within 30 minutes (STEMI team participation required)
- Neuro-intervention experience preferred
- Must be able to work in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology (hard requirement)
- Valid state license required at time of submission
- Two supervisor references required
- Strict no-tobacco policy (nicotine drug screen required)
Responsibilities
- Perform elective caths (diagnostic and interventional), right heart caths, STEMI activations, IABP support, and pacemaker procedures
- Provide high-quality imaging and technical support in both Cath Lab and Interventional Radiology settings (CT imaging, fluoroscopy)
- Maintain sterile field and assist with scrub duties during procedures
- Respond promptly to on-call and STEMI activations, meeting 30-minute response requirement
- Work collaboratively with interdisciplinary teams (cardiology, vascular surgery, nursing) to deliver exceptional patient care
- Care for adult and geriatric patient populations
- Complete required orientation modules during onboarding and annually; document charting in Cerner and McKesson
