- Assignment Length: 13 weeks (June 8, 2026 – September 7, 2026)
- Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,870 – $2,010
- Setting: Short Term Acute Care, Teaching Hospital (hospital-based nuclear medicine)
- Location: Washington, DC 20007 — Georgetown, DC nuclear medicine job
- Shift: 5x8-hour days (Mon–Fri, 08:00 – 16:30)
- Hours per Week: 40
- Charting / PACS: Cerner
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Nuclear Medicine Technologist (NMT); hospital-based experience preferred
- First-time travel technologists welcome (must meet 2-year experience requirement)
- Valid DC license in hand or pending (Washington, DC licensing)
- Certification: ARRT(N) or NMTCB (CNMT) and current BLS
- Experience with major vendors: GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba
- Clinical proficiency: HIDA scan, bone scan, lung scan, thyroid studies
- IV skills: start and maintain peripheral IVs
- Knowledge of radiation safety, isolation precautions, and radioactive material handling
- Strong communication skills and ability to perform under pressure in acute care settings
- Two (2) supervisor references required
Core Responsibilities
- Perform a variety of nuclear medicine procedures including HIDA, bone, lung, and thyroid scans
- Operate, troubleshoot, and maintain advanced imaging equipment (GE, Hitachi, Philips, Siemens, Toshiba)
- Start and manage peripheral IV lines and ensure patient safety during radiopharmaceutical administration
- Ensure proper storage, handling, transport, and disposal of radioactive materials per hospital and regulatory guidelines
- Adhere to radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions
- Accurately document procedures, patient data, and dose information using Cerner
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality patient care
- Adapt to emergent and high-pressure clinical situations with professionalism
