Overview

The CT Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using computed tomography (CT) scanning equipment to help diagnose and treat patients across a broad patient population. • Shift: 3 x 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
• Hours per Week: 36
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $1,930 - $2,080
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Weekend Rotation: Every 4th weekend
• Holiday Requirement: Major holidays required
• Additional Imaging Support: Basic x-ray exams may also be required

Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience as a CT Technologist or Radiology Technologist required
• BLS certification required
• ARRT registration required; CT advanced modality registration preferred
• State radiology licensure required or preferred depending on state regulations
• Experience with EPIC and PACS preferred
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered care skills
• Ability to maintain a calm demeanor and strong attention to detail in a fast-paced hospital imaging department

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography procedures with accuracy and efficiency
• Position and immobilize patients properly to obtain high-quality diagnostic images
• Confirm all patient and procedural information is correct before imaging
• Administer IV injections and oral, rectal, and IV contrast agents as appropriate
• Assist radiologists with biopsies, drainage procedures, and other specialty imaging support
• Maintain working knowledge of CT systems, including Radiant and PACS
• Perform timeout procedures and follow safety protocols at all times
• Participate in on-call rotation as required
• Support basic x-ray imaging needs when needed within the department
