• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490 - $2,670
• Setting: Hospital-based MRI department
• Location: Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19141
• Start Date: 09/14/2026
• End Date: 12/14/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Shift: Night shift, 5x8 hours (4:00 PM - 12:00 AM)
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Hours Per Week: 40
• On-Call: 1-2 nights per week and every 5th weekend
• Weekend Requirement: Friday coverage as part of a Monday-Friday schedule
• Orientation: 80 hours
• Charting System: Centricity
• Schedule Notes: No floating required; first-time travelers are welcome

MRI Technologist Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of MRI technologist experience required
• Current ARRT (R) and ARRT (MR) certification required
• Current BLS certification required
• Experience in Level I trauma settings preferred
• Community hospital experience preferred
• Philips MRI experience preferred
• Strong knowledge of PACS and MRI imaging workflows
• Ability to work overnight shifts and participate in on-call rotation
• Experience with adult acute care, outpatient imaging, and a broad range of patient populations preferred

Responsibilities

• Perform MRI examinations with accuracy, safety, and attention to patient comfort
• Work with a diverse patient population, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
• Operate Philips MRI scanners and support image quality through proper positioning and protocol selection
• Apply advanced imaging techniques such as diffusion, gradient echo imaging, perfusion, and multiplanar reconstruction
• Complete image post-processing and maintain efficient workflow within the department
• Follow safety standards, isolation precautions, and PPE guidelines as needed
• Collaborate with Radiology team members to support a smooth and patient-focused experience
• Contribute to a high-volume unit with approximately 30 daily patients
