Job Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of MRI technologist or relevant radiology experience required
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Completion of an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program required
- Current Reg Technologist (R) (MR) credentials required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
- Strong understanding of MRI safety, anatomy, physiology, pathology, and contrast agents
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently in a patient-centered clinical environment
Responsibilities
- Perform MRI procedures according to established protocols and physician orders
- Prepare and administer contrast in accordance with state and federal guidelines, under radiologist direction
- Maintain a safe imaging environment for infant through adult patients
- Position patients accurately and apply proper technique to obtain diagnostic-quality images
- Provide compassionate care while respecting physical, cultural, and emotional patient needs
- Monitor patients throughout imaging procedures and respond appropriately to clinical needs
- Use independent judgment, critical thinking, and professional ethics in daily practice
- Participate in continuing education and ongoing learning to support clinical excellence
