CT Technologist Travel Assignment – Hospital Imaging in Rochester, NY

Experienced CT Technologist needed for a travel imaging assignment in a fast-paced Rochester, NY hospital. This weekend overnight role is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented Computed Tomography Technologist who values patient safety, accurate diagnostic imaging, and teamwork in a high-acuity healthcare setting.

Join a collaborative hospital imaging team and help deliver high-quality CT scans and diagnostic care. In this role, you’ll prepare patients, perform computed tomography exams with precision, and support physicians and clinical staff in a busy trauma and inpatient environment.

Job Details

• Setting: Hospital-based CT imaging
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642
• Type: Travel CT Technologist assignment
• Schedule: Friday through Sunday, 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM EST
• Shift Duration: 12-hour overnight shifts
• Shifts Per Week: 3
• Hours Per Week: 36
• On Call: 2–3 call shifts per month
• Duration: 13 weeks
• Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,540–$2,730

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Experience in a Level I trauma center preferred
• Completion of formal training from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Current ARRT certification
• New York State licensure required prior to start
• BLS certification through the American Heart Association
• Telemetry knowledge required
• Siemens scanner experience preferred
• Epic experience preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Patient-focused, compassionate, and team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Verify patient identity and confirm exam details before each scan
• Prepare patients for procedures and explain the imaging process clearly
• Coordinate with physicians, nurses, and care teams to support accurate diagnostic imaging
• Insert IVs when needed for contrast testing
• Position and safely assist patients, including those with limited mobility
• Follow department policies and procedures to promote patient safety and quality care
• Document exam information accurately in EPIC
• Ensure images are correctly sent to PACS after exam completion
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe scanning environment
• Support weekend overnight operations, including call-back and holiday coverage as required
