Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,830-$3,040
• Location: Rochester, NY 14642
• Setting: Hospital-based imaging department
• Employment Type: Travel CT Technologist
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, 3:00 PM - 11:30 PM EST
• Shift Duration: 8 hours
• Shift Pattern: On-call/callback, holidays, and occasional weekends
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CT Technologist experience
• Current New York State Radiologic Technologist license required prior to start
• ARRT certification required
• Experience in a Level 1 Trauma Center required
• BLS certification from the American Heart Association required
• Telemetry experience required
• Completion of an approved School of Radiologic Technology
• Injection therapy certification required for currently registered NYS practitioners as applicable, or willingness to complete during orientation
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Patient-focused, compassionate, and team-oriented approach

Responsibilities

• Perform computed tomography (CT) scans in a hospital imaging setting
• Verify patient identity and exam details before beginning procedures
• Prepare patients for diagnostic imaging and explain exams clearly to support comfort and confidence
• Coordinate with physicians and clinical staff to support timely imaging workflows
• Start IVs when needed for imaging studies
• Position patients safely, using proper patient-handling techniques for individuals with limited mobility
• Document all required exam information accurately in EPIC
• Ensure images are correctly labeled and transmitted to PACS after completion
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized scanning area
• Deliver compassionate care while contributing to a cohesive diagnostic imaging team
