CT Technologist Job Details

CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent CT Technologist or CT Tech experience in a hospital or acute-care setting
- Current CT Technologist certification
- Required Massachusetts licensure or eligibility to practice as applicable
- Strong knowledge of computed tomography procedures, patient safety, and radiation protection practices
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced trauma and stroke center
- Successful completion of applicable facility credentialing and competency requirements
CT Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic CT examinations according to established protocols and physician orders
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and promote comfort and safety throughout the imaging process
- Operate GE and Siemens CT equipment while maintaining image quality and protocol accuracy
- Recognize and respond appropriately to urgent imaging needs in trauma and stroke patients
- Verify patient information, review clinical history, and document procedures accurately
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, physicians, and other members of the healthcare team
- Maintain compliance with radiation safety standards, infection prevention practices, and department policies
- Perform quality-control activities and report equipment or workflow concerns promptly
