Travel CT Technologist Job Details

• Location: Falmouth, Massachusetts
• Setting: Hospital-based radiology department
• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,600–$2,790
• Start Date: November 9, 2026
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks, ending February 6, 2027
• Schedule: 40 hours per week
• Shift Duration: 10-hour days
• Shift Times: 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. or 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m.
• Weekend and Holiday Coverage: Rotating weekends and holidays
• Work Arrangement: On-site

CT Technologist Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of current CT Technologist experience within the last 5 years
• Graduate of an American Medical Association-accredited radiography program
• Current ARRT registration in Radiography and Computed Tomography (RT and CT)
• Valid Massachusetts radiation control license for Radiologic Technology and Computed Tomography
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Strong understanding of radiation safety, infection control, patient confidentiality, and quality assurance standards

CT Technologist Responsibilities

• Perform CT examinations of designated anatomical areas according to physician orders and departmental protocols
• Operate CT scanners, control consoles, peripheral equipment, and related medical imaging technology
• Select appropriate imaging techniques and adjust equipment settings to produce diagnostic-quality studies
• Position and safely immobilize patients to obtain optimal images while maintaining comfort and dignity
• Explain CT procedures, answer patient questions, and provide reassurance throughout examinations
• Review imaging requests and verify patient identification and examination information
• Assist physicians and nurses with patient monitoring, treatment, and contrast administration when trained and authorized
• Evaluate images for technical quality and repeat studies when clinically appropriate
• Apply radiation protection principles, including beam restriction, shielding, and appropriate exposure factors
• Maintain CT equipment, perform calibration checks, and report technical issues as needed
• Document procedures and maintain accurate radiology records
• Follow infection control, fire and disaster preparedness, safety, and hospital policies
• Protect patient confidentiality and maintain professional relationships with patients, providers, and staff
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities
