Travel Mammography Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380–$2,550
- Assignment Dates: November 23, 2026–February 20, 2027
- Travel Assignment Duration: 13 weeks
- Schedule: 40 hours per week
- Shift Duration: 8-hour shifts
- Shift Pattern: Rotating schedules, including 7:30 a.m.–4:00 p.m., 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m., 9:00 a.m.–5:30 p.m., and 9:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; occasional Saturdays from 8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m.

Mammography Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 1 year of recent mammography experience
- Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited radiography program
- Active ARRT certification in Radiography and Mammography
- Active Massachusetts licensure for radiology and mammography
- Current BLS certification
- Current experience performing 3D digital mammography
- Completion of required digital mammography and digital breast tomosynthesis education in accordance with MQSA and ACR standards
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Ability and willingness to become proficient in bone density examinations
- Advanced ARRT Bone Density Operator certification preferred
Breast Imaging Responsibilities
- Perform screening and diagnostic mammograms, stereotactic procedures, and digital breast tomosynthesis examinations.
- Conduct DEXA examinations of the spine, hip, and forearm when indicated.
- Explain procedures, expected results, and preparation requirements to patients while addressing their physical and emotional needs.
- Verify patient identity using two approved identifiers and accurately review medical history and examination requisitions.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other providers to clarify imaging orders and support complete diagnostic evaluations.
- Operate mammography and bone density equipment safely and effectively, adjusting exposure factors and positioning patients to obtain high-quality images.
- Evaluate images for technical quality and ensure accurate labeling, documentation, and transfer through PACS and related systems.
- Complete required quality control testing and maintain documentation in accordance with MQSA, ACR, and applicable regulatory standards.
- Maintain knowledge of patient positioning, scan protocols, radiation protection, data management, equipment operation, and infection control.
- Monitor equipment performance, report malfunctions, and help coordinate timely service and repairs.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and provide respectful, service-focused care to patients, families, visitors, and colleagues.
- Participate in continuing education and professional development activities while performing other related duties as assigned.
