Travel CT Technologist Job Details
- Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,490–$2,670
- Employment Type: 13-week CT Technologist travel contract
- Location: Center City, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania 19107
- Start Date: November 16, 2026
- End Date: February 15, 2027
- Schedule: Four 10-hour day shifts per week
- Shift Duration: 10-hour days
- Shift Hours: 9:00 a.m.–7:00 p.m., Tuesday through Friday
- Hours: 40 hours per week
- Setting: Hospital-based diagnostic imaging department
- Services: Computed tomography (CT) and X-ray imaging
- Call: Not required
- Floating: Not required
- Orientation: 36 hours
- Scrub Color: Ceil blue
- Scheduling Note: Block scheduling cannot be accommodated; requested time off must be provided with submission
CT Technologist Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a CT Technologist
- ARRT certification in computed tomography (CT)
- Current BLS certification
- Valid Pennsylvania credentials required at the time of submission
- Experience performing both CT and X-ray examinations
- Experience with electronic charting systems; familiarity with any charting platform is acceptable
- Proficiency with GE CT equipment; experience with PACS and imaging platforms such as Philips, Siemens, or Toshiba is beneficial
- Competency with contrast preparation and administration, peripheral IV starts, and isolation precautions/PPE
- Clinical experience across adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations
- Ability to complete required screening, laboratory, fingerprinting, and compliance steps within designated timeframes
- Professional references and copies of current certifications required
CT and X-Ray Technologist Responsibilities
- Perform CT and X-ray examinations safely, accurately, and efficiently
- Complete imaging studies of the head, chest, abdomen, pelvis, spine, and musculoskeletal system, including examinations with and without contrast
- Prepare patients for procedures, explain examinations, and provide appropriate care throughout the imaging process
- Prepare and administer contrast media in accordance with established protocols and scope of practice
- Start peripheral IVs and follow appropriate safety procedures for contrast-enhanced studies
- Obtain and document high-quality diagnostic images while following radiation safety standards
- Use PACS and department documentation systems to accurately record patient and exam information
- Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, providers, and other members of the care team
- Follow infection prevention, isolation, and PPE protocols
- Provide professional, compassionate care to patients ranging from adolescents through older adults
