Join an outpatient imaging team as a Mammography Radiologic Technologist in Boston, Massachusetts. Travel Mammography Technologist Job Details

  • Location: Boston, Massachusetts
  • Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,380–$2,550
  • Start Date: November 2, 2026
  • Contract End Date: January 30, 2027
  • Duration: 13 weeks
  • Healthcare Setting: Outpatient imaging and walk-in patient environment
  • Schedule: Monday–Friday, generally 8:00 a.m.–4:30 p.m.
  • Shift Duration: 8-hour days; 10-hour shifts may be discussed during the interview
  • Hours: Approximately 40 hours per week
  • Call and Weekends: No call and no weekends
  • Guaranteed Hours: 72 hours biweekly, excluding on-call hours
  • Float: No floating required

Mammography Radiologic Technologist Requirements

  • At least 1 year of experience as a Mammography Technologist or Mammography Radiologic Technologist
  • Current Mammography Technologist certification
  • ARRT certification verification
  • Current BLS certification
  • Demonstrated experience performing standard mammography on a 3D mammography system
  • Standard diagnostic X-ray experience required
  • DEXA experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to provide compassionate, professional patient care in a busy outpatient imaging environment

Mammography Technologist Responsibilities

  • Perform screening and diagnostic mammography using 3D imaging technology
  • Complete standard radiographic examinations as assigned
  • Welcome and assist walk-in patients throughout the outpatient imaging process
  • Position patients accurately and obtain high-quality diagnostic images
  • Follow radiation safety, infection prevention, and imaging quality standards
  • Verify patient information, prepare examination documentation, and maintain accurate medical records
  • Communicate clearly with patients and the healthcare team to support a positive imaging experience
