Registered Nurse - OB/GYN (Travel)

Location: Carthage, Tennessee
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units
• Facility is a 25-bed critical access hospital with 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds
• Patient population: Maternity women and newborns
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients
• Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
• Weekend hours: Every other weekend rotation / as needed
• Call requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per 4-week schedule
• Float to other units as needed

Required Qualifications

• Valid RN license in Tennessee
• Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Preferred Qualifications

• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certification
• Experience with Centricity and Meditech EHR systems (not mandatory)
• Experience with fetal monitoring and couplet care

Work Environment & Culture

• Positive, cooperative attitude with initiative is valued
• Dress code: Scrubs of any color allowed; casual or other facility apparel not acceptable
• Orientation provided weekly on Mondays
• Travel candidates must live 60 miles or more from the facility
