Registered Nurse - Labor & Delivery

Location

• Carthage, Tennessee

Employment Type

• Travel contract
• Contract length: 13 weeks

Unit and Patient Population

• Labor & Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum Units
• 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds
• Patient population: Maternity women and newborns
• Patient ratio: 1 nurse to 2 patients

Work Schedule

• 36 hours per week guaranteed
• Every other weekend rotation (as needed)
• Call requirement: 3 twelve-hour shifts per 4-week schedule
• Float to other units as needed

Required Certifications

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)
• BLS (Basic Life Support)
• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)

Required Licensure

• Valid Registered Nurse license in Tennessee

Requirements/Qualifications

• Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
• Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery experience within the last year
• Experience in Nursery and Postpartum care
• Current ACLS, BLS, and NRP certifications

Additional Requirements

• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start
• Positive attitude, cooperative, and shows initiative

Orientation

• Weekly orientation sessions on Mondays

Facility Notes

• Critical access hospital with 25 beds
• Located near water recreation areas and about an hour from Nashville

Dress Code

• Scrubs of any color allowed
• Casual or other facility apparel not acceptable
