Job Summary

Seeking a Registered Nurse with OB/GYN specialty to provide care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery including pre-transition newborn care. Must be available to start within 7-10 days from offer acceptance.

Unit & Patient Population

• Unit: OB/GYN (6 beds)
• Patient Ratios: Laboring moms 1:1, couplet care unit
• Patient Population: All ages
• EHR Systems: CPM and Medhost

Shift & Hours

• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Every other weekend / as needed
• Call Requirements: As needed
• Float Requirements: As needed

Required Qualifications

• Specialty: OB/GYN
• Years of Experience: Minimum 1+ years in OB, Labor & Delivery, and nursery experience (use higher if discrepancy found)
• Certifications Required:

  • ACLS
  • AWHONN
  • BLS
  • HWC
  • NRP
  • PALS
• Licensure: Registered Nurse license valid in Tennessee
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to start

Skills & Experience

• Previous OB, Labor & Delivery, and nursery experience required
• Knowledge of intrapartum and postpartum care
• Pre-transition newborn care experience required
• Team player with a positive attitude

Additional Information

• Orientation held biweekly on Mondays
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel staff
• Dress Code: Scrubs of any color allowed; no non-facility associated attire

Summary

This is a travel RN position in OB/GYN requiring at least 1 year of specialty experience, multiple certifications, and the ability to start quickly. The role involves comprehensive care for laboring mothers and newborns in a supportive team environment.
