Registered Nurse - OB/GYN
Location: Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 8 weeks
Job Description
- Provide care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery, including newborn care pre-transition.
- Patient population includes all ages.
- Unit has 6 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring moms and couplet care.
- Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: CPM and MEDHOST.
- Weekend hours every other week or as needed.
- Call requirements as needed.
- Float requirements as needed.
- Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays.
- Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse license valid in Tennessee.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in OB, Labor & Delivery, and nursery care.
- Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS.
- Previous experience with intrapartum and postpartum care, as well as nursery knowledge.
- Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start.
Work Environment & Culture
- Team-oriented environment; positive attitude is important.
- Dress code: facility-approved scrubs (any color); non-facility attire not allowed.
- Patient care includes intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.

- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
- Facility is an acute care hospital with a focus on women’s services.
- Located approximately 1.5 hours from Nashville, TN.
- Local area offers outdoor recreation and historical attractions.
