Location: Lawrenceburg, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 8 weeks

Job Description

• Provide care in labor and delivery, postpartum, and newborn nursery, including newborn care pre-transition.
• Patient population includes all ages.
• Unit has 6 beds with patient ratios of 1:1 for laboring moms and couplet care.
• Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems used: CPM and MEDHOST.
• Weekend hours every other week or as needed.
• Call requirements as needed.
• Float requirements as needed.
• Orientation occurs biweekly on Mondays.
• Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the facility to qualify as travel.

Required Qualifications

• Registered Nurse license valid in Tennessee.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in OB, Labor & Delivery, and nursery care.
• Required certifications prior to start: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP, PALS.
• Previous experience with intrapartum and postpartum care, as well as nursery knowledge.
• Must pass Tennessee Abuse Registry check prior to assignment start.

Work Environment & Culture

• Team-oriented environment; positive attitude is important.
• Dress code: facility-approved scrubs (any color); non-facility attire not allowed.
• Patient care includes intrapartum, postpartum, and newborn care.

• Weekly guaranteed hours: 36.
• Facility is an acute care hospital with a focus on women’s services.
• Located approximately 1.5 hours from Nashville, TN.
