Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Description
Seeking a Registered Nurse to work in Labor and Delivery, Nursery, and Postpartum units. The position involves caring for maternity women and newborns in a small critical access hospital setting. The unit includes 2 labor beds and 3 postpartum beds with a patient ratio of 1:2.
Shift & Schedule
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend rotation / as needed
- Call requirements: 3 twelve-hour shifts per 4-week schedule
- Float requirements: As needed
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Requirements/Qualifications
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in Tennessee
- Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) or Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
- Minimum 1 year of Labor and Delivery nursing experience within the last year
- Minimum 1 year of experience as an RN in OB/GYN
- Experience with fetal monitoring
Preferred Experience
- PALS certification
- Experience with Centricity and Meditech electronic health records (EHR) systems
Patient Population
- Maternity women and newborns
Additional Information
- Positive attitude, cooperative, and self-initiative are important personality traits
- Dress code: Scrubs of any color; casual or other facility apparel is not acceptable
- State-specific background checks required prior to assignment start
