Location: Gallatin, Tennessee
Employment Type: Travel
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Job Summary
Seeking a Registered Nurse with Labor and Delivery specialty to provide quality care for maternity women and newborns in a Level III Trauma Center. The unit has 5 Labor & Delivery beds with patient ratios of 1:1 on Pitocin and 1:2 otherwise.
Shift & Hours
- Weekly guaranteed hours: 36
- Weekend hours: Every other weekend rotation / as needed
- Call requirements: 2 shifts of call in a 6-week period
- Float requirements: As needed
Required Certifications
- ACLS
- AWHONN
- BLS
- NRP
Required Licensure
- Registered Nurse license valid in Tennessee
Experience Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in Labor and Delivery nursing
Unit & Patient Population
- Labor & Delivery / Nursery / Postpartum
- Patient population: Maternity women and newborns
- Common diagnoses/treatments: Labor
- Electronic Health Record system: Meditech
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid RN license in Tennessee
- Labor and Delivery experience within the last year (minimum 1 year)
- ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, NRP certifications
- Associate of Science in Nursing / Associate Degree in Nursing
- Fetal monitoring experience
Additional Information
- Orientation is weekly on Mondays
- Tennessee Abuse Registry check required prior to assignment start
- Dress code: Any scrub color
Note: Candidates must be located 60 miles or more from the assignment location to qualify as travel.
