12-hour shifts, primarily during the day with the possibility of some night shifts.

Job Description

The position is for a nurse experienced in cardiac care, assigned primarily to a telemetry unit. The nurse will care for patients with conditions such as chest pain, congestive heart failure (CHF), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and those recovering from cardiac procedures like catheterizations and pacemaker insertions. Additionally, the unit cares for stroke patients and general medical patients.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for telemetry patients and other assigned medical patients.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry readings.
• Administer medications and treatments as per medical orders.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Document patient care in the MEDITECH - 6.1 system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must have cardiac care experience.
• ACLS and BLS certifications required.
• NIHSS certification preferred.
• Active nursing license is required for submission.
