Job Description

The CT Tech is responsible for establishing and maintaining mechanical ventilatory support for critical newborn, pediatric, and adult patients, utilizing various pressure and volume ventilators. This role involves monitoring patients for changes in cardio-pulmonary status, performing intubations, and making decisions based on diagnostic test results.

Responsibilities

Make ventilator adjustments according to diagnostic tests and patient responses.
Monitor patient for changes in cardio-pulmonary status and maintain patent airway.
Apply advanced ventilator techniques (CPAP, PS, SIMV, PEEP).
Establish and initiate weaning procedures based on ventilator weaning criteria.
Perform effective CPR and arterial punctures for blood gas analysis.
Assist physicians in special procedures such as bronchoscopy and thoracoscopy.
Document all treatments, findings, and observations in the appropriate medical record.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

MRI certification and experience required.
Proven experience with mechanical ventilation for critical patients.
