MRI Technologist

Job Description

The MRI Technologist performs MRI studies following protocols established by Radiologists. This role includes operating the MRI scanner to produce images of consistent optimal quality and preparing the scan room and equipment appropriately. The technologist positions patients, coils, and equipment as required while maintaining communication with the patient throughout the scanning procedure.

Responsibilities

Perform MRI studies adhering to established protocols.
Operate the MRI scanner to ensure high-quality image production.
Prepare the scan room and equipment as needed.
Position patients and equipment effectively.
Maintain clear communication with patients during procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

High School Diploma or Equivalent Required.
Non-Degree Program from an approved AMA Radiologic Technology program or MRI certificate program Required.
1 year experience as a Radiology Technologist Required.
1 year experience as an MRI Technologist Preferred.
Registered Technologist (R) (MR) Certification Required.
Basic Life Support Certification Required.
