Job Description

We are seeking a Telemetry Nurse with cardiac experience to join our team. This unit primarily cares for patients with chest pain, CHF, COPD, and those recovering from procedures such as cardiac catheterizations and pacemaker insertions. In addition, the nurse may care for patients with strokes and NSTEMIs or STEMIs upon transfer from the ICU. General medical patients may also be part of the caseload, and the nurse must be equipped to provide care for the above needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide quality nursing care to telemetry and cardiac patients.
• Monitor vital signs and patient responses to treatments.
• Administer medications as prescribed and manage patient care plans.
• Educate patients and their families on health management and recovery processes.
• Document patient assessments and care using the MEDITECH charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• ACLS certification
• BLS certification
• NIHSS certification
• Experience in a telemetry or cardiac unit
