Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT Scan) Technologist, under the direction of the Medical Director, Clinical Specialist, Manager, and Radiologist, performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. The Technologist utilizes their specific modality to create diagnostic images, ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients. Responsibilities include conducting CT exams on various patient categories including trauma, emergency room, outpatient, inpatient, and those requiring specialized CT scan-guided procedures. The CT Technologist also practices and enforces radiation safety measures in accordance with the New York State Department of Health regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Education: Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School and a high school graduate.
• Licensure, Certification & Registration:
  • New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or a limited permit to practice in the State of New York.
  • Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR, or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer certification.
• Experience: Entry-level position; limited or no experience accepted.
