Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist

Assignment Duration

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

Friday-Sunday: 8AM - 8:30PM, with no on-call responsibilities.

Job Description

The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist performs technical procedures and assists in the clinical evaluation and care of patients in a fast-paced, Level I Trauma and Academic Medical Center. Utilizing their modality, the Technologist creates diagnostic images, ensuring a safe and positive experience for patients. The role involves supporting teaching initiatives and continuing education as technology evolves.

Responsibilities

Perform CT scans on trauma and emergency room patients, as well as outpatients and inpatients.
Conduct specialized CT-guided procedures as required.
Enforce radiation safety measures in accordance with New York State Department of Health regulations.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Graduate of an approved two-year AMA Radiologic Technology School.
New York State Registration in Diagnostic Radiography or possess a limited permit.
Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Current BLS for Healthcare Provider, CPR or CPR/AED for Professional Rescuer certification.
Entry-level position; limited or no experience accepted.
