MRI Technologist - Night Shift

Schedule

This position offers night shifts in a 3x12 or 4x12 hour format, from 18:00 to 06:00.

Job Description

The MRI Technologist operates magnetic resonance imaging equipment and computer systems to perform MRI exams while collaborating closely with radiologists and other team members. The role includes complying with MRI safety practices and providing direct patient care to high acuity patients across various settings, including emergency, inpatient, and outpatient, while supporting trauma and ICU needs.

Responsibilities

• Perform contrast injections under the supervision of the radiologist.
• Assist in the diagnosis and treatment of neonate, infant, children, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
• Acquire and produce tomographic images of designated human body portions to obtain diagnoses using MRI equipment.
• Prepare and position patients while accurately selecting anatomic and technical imaging parameters.
• Ensure timely submission of high-quality images and necessary documents to PACS.
• Conduct pre-screening, scheduling, and education related to MRI examinations.
• Maintain a clean and orderly department, including all procedure and storage areas.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• High School Diploma/GED and Specialized Diploma from an accredited Radiology program.
• Registered Technologist Radiology (RT) certification in the state of Pennsylvania.
• ARRT certification in Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MR) or ARMRIT certification, with the latter required within one year.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification upon hire.
• Effective communication skills in both written and oral formats.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle medical information ethically.
