Job Description

The Diagnostic Imaging Technologist CT will ensure that the evaluation of Radiology procedures, equipment, and staff are conducted in an accurate, timely, responsive, and reliable manner. Customers served include employees, medical staff, patients, and regulatory agencies, with priority given to activities that directly affect customer service.

Responsibilities

• Maintain confidentiality of patients and hospital information.
• Comply with all hospital policies and procedures pertaining to incident reporting.
• Perform CT procedures as requested by referring physicians.
• Demonstrate adequate radiation safety practices for patients and co-workers.
• Participate in all Radiology Management System functions related to patient procedures.
• Provide patient education as required.
• Maintain effective communication with referring physicians and radiologist staff to ensure efficient delivery of CT procedures.
• Abide by service delivery standards of the Department of Diagnostic Imaging & Radiology in all interactions.
• Adhere to accepted clinical principles, methods, and procedures while performing CT procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Associate's degree in radiologic technology.
• NYS Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist License with Injection Registered.
• ARRT(R) certification.
• BLS Certification (AHA, HSI, or American Red Cross).
• ARRT CT Registration (preferred).
