Schedule

Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30) with weekend and holiday rotation. All travelers are subject to float between all campuses if needed.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will be responsible for providing high-quality, patient-centered care in a progressive care unit setting. The RN will monitor patients, administer medications, and collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Provide care for patients in a PCU setting, focusing on telemetry monitoring.
• Manage and interpret dysrhythmias and titrate drips as necessary.
• Perform cardiac telemetry and peripheral line care/management, including PICC line management.
• Document patient care activities in electronic health records (Epic preferred).
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for comprehensive patient care.
• Educate patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatments.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a progressive care or telemetry unit.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Current certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required.
• Must provide documentation of passing the Pass/Fail EKG exam prior to submission.
• Experience with cardiac telemetry and the management of patients with dysrhythmias is essential.
