Night shifts: 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:00), including weekends (2 per month) and holidays as needed.
Job Description
The Registered Nurse in the IMCU Float Pool will provide high-acuity nursing care to patients experiencing medical complications across various units. The role requires flexibility to float within the skillset to meet patient needs, providing essential support in a dynamic environment.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate patient needs and develop care plans based on individual assessments.
- Administer medications and treatments as per established protocols.
- Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
- Utilize Epic for documentation and care coordination.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- 2+ years of IMC/Telemetry/PCU nursing experience required.
- 2+ years of travel nursing experience preferred.
- Current NC or Multistate RN license required.
- BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required.
- Telemetry experience and proficiency with Epic EMR are required.
- Comfortable providing care to pediatric patients, though not common.
