Job Description
The CT Technologist will work independently with an imaging aide to perform all CT scans, primarily on ER patients, as well as some ICU and inpatient cases. The position is based within a busy Emergency Room (ER) department that has over 40 beds. Proficiency in using a Philips Brilliance 64 slice CT scanner and EMH Epic is essential. This role requires the technologist to be fully independent and competent in conducting various CT scans, excluding cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans on mostly ER patients, including some from ICU and inpatient wards.
- Ensure accurate imaging results while maintaining patient safety and comfort.
- Collaborate with the imaging aide as needed during imaging procedures.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience as a CT Technologist.
- ARRT certification and New York State license for CT with injection.
- BLS certification required.
- Must be fully independent and competent in all CT scans (except cardiac).
