Surgical Nurse - Orthopedic Specialty

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Surgical Nurse skilled in scrubbing and circulating for orthopedic procedures, including spine and trauma cases. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of experience in a surgical setting and proficiency with Epic electronic health records.

Responsibilities

Scrub and circulate during surgical procedures, ensuring the highest level of patient care.
Assist in the management of orthopedic trauma, spine, and robotic surgeries.
Collaborate effectively with the surgical team, including surgeons and anesthetists.

Schedule

Day shift, 7:00 AM - 5:30 PM, four 10-hour shifts per week. On call requirement includes one weekend per month, totaling 36 hours on call.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum of 3 years of surgical nursing experience, with expertise in orthopedic spine and trauma.
Current New Jersey nursing licensure.
American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications required.
National certification in specialty area is preferred.
