Job Description

The CT/Radiologic Technologist is responsible for performing technical radiographic assignments while exercising complex skills, judgment, and knowledge of the principles and methods of CT and Radiologic Technology. This role will include performing diagnostic radiographic studies as requested and operating portable diagnostic radiographic equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Operate radiographic, CT, and image processors accurately across different modalities.
• Evaluate images for quality and ensure accuracy of positioning based on procedure guidelines.
• Provide clear instructions to patients during procedures to alleviate stress.
• Maintain competency in at least two specific modalities.
• Adhere to proper radiation protection standards for self, patients, and staff.
• Participate in emergency call rotations as needed.
• Utilize RIS and PACS effectively for entering and editing patient exams and charges.
• Perform radiographic and CT studies with or without IV contrast enhancement.
• Follow NYSDOH Part 16 guidelines and perform required quality control activities.
• Handle potential exposure to blood borne pathogens and adhere to infection control protocols.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Must possess ARRT and NYS Licensure.
• Minimum of 1 year experience as a CT Tech or in a related Radiologic Technology field.
• Experience in C-Arm operations and Siemens equipment is preferred.
