Job Description
The CT Technologist will be responsible for performing various computed tomography (CT) procedures, ensuring high-quality imaging for diagnostic purposes. Candidates must possess strong technical and patient care skills, with a focus on safety and comfort during imaging procedures.
Responsibilities
- Perform CT scans following physician's orders and established protocols.
- Ensure patient safety and comfort during imaging exams.
- Administer contrast media as required for imaging procedures.
- Maintain equipment and ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Document procedures accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Minimum of 1 year of recent CT experience.
- New York State license and BLS certification required.
- ARRT certification preferred but not mandatory.
- Injection certification on New York State license is necessary to perform contrast CT exams.
- Familiarity with various CT equipment and charting systems.
