This is a 13-week contract position primarily working Monday through Friday, with irregular hours possible for evening and weekend calls.
Job Description
The Director of Women's Care is responsible for overseeing the operations of Nursing/Patient Care Areas. This role ensures compliance with patient care quality standards across all age groups, maintains performance improvement activities, and participates in Continuous Quality Improvement (CQI) initiatives. The Director also assures the competency of nursing personnel and assists in budget formulation while adhering to all regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Plan, organize, and direct overall operations of Nursing/Patient Care Areas.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards for patient care.
- Maintain performance improvement and participate in CQI activities.
- Assure the competency and development of nursing personnel.
- Assist in the formulation of departmental budgets and efficient operations.
- Adhere to all state, federal, and local regulations, laws, and standards.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing required.
- Five years of RN experience with at least two years in management/leadership.
- Certifications in BLS, ACLS, PALS, NRP, and TNCC preferred.
