Registered Nurse - MedSurg/Tele Float Pool

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour shifts with weekend commitment (Days).

Job Description

The MedSurg/Tele Float Pool Registered Nurse will provide care to patients in various units, primarily 6N and 7N, among others. This role requires strong assessment skills and the ability to float to diverse settings as needed while adhering to nursing standards and policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient care for a variety of diagnoses including CHF, cardiac cath, COPD, and chronic renal disease.
• Monitor and assess patient health conditions and respond to changes in patient status.
• Read and interpret telemetry strips; familiarity with cardiac rhythm evaluation is essential.
• Administer medications and manage IV drips (non-titration).
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation using the EPIC charting system.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Current RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications required.
• Experience with cardiac rhythm recognition and telemetry monitoring.
• Must pass a cardiac rhythm exam.
