Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician

Schedule

This position primarily involves day shifts with some late-night/evening on-call responsibilities. Offering either 4x10 or 3x12 hour shifts.

Job Description

The Electrophysiology Monitoring Technician will support the Electrophysiologist during EP studies, ablations, and cardiac implant procedures. While experience in cardiac implant or structural heart scrub is preferred, it is not required. Familiarity with the Bloom stimulator is an advantage. A strong understanding of EP pacing monoverses and GE systems (MacLab & CardioLab) is necessary to assist in pacing monoverses and measurements. The technician will help coordinate with various vendors in ablation setups and manage documentation through Epic.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Electrophysiologist during procedures, ensuring all equipment and supplies are prepared.
• Facilitate room turnover and timely patient care.
• Communicate effectively with the MD and in-room staff.
• Coordinate with Charge Nurse and third-party vendors for scheduled procedures.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• RCES, Radiologic Technologist, or RN License (New York only)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a relevant field
• BLS (American Heart Association only)
