Job Description
The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Neuro/Ortho unit, ensuring optimal patient outcomes and adherence to protocols and standards.
Responsibilities
- Manage patient care in a 25-bed Neuro/Ortho unit.
- Oversee and administer medications as per physician’s orders.
- Monitor patient progress and vital signs.
- Assist with diagnostic tests and evaluations.
- Manage chest tubes and IV drips, including non-titrated Cardizem, Amiodarone, and weight-based heparin drips.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current RN license in the state of Texas.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification required.
- Preferred qualifications include Meditech and telemetry experience.
