Schedule
12-hour rotating shifts (Day/Evening) with a flexible schedule to meet unit needs. Must work 2 of the 4 holidays: Thanksgiving, Christmas, Christmas Eve, and New Year's Day.
Job Description
The Circulating RN for CVOR plays a critical role in the cardiovascular operating room, responsible for ensuring patient safety and efficient operating room processes.
Responsibilities
- Circulate in cardiovascular and open-heart surgeries.
- Coordinate with surgical teams to facilitate patient care and OR workflow.
- Maintain high competency in cardiovascular procedures with a focus on safety and quality.
- Flexibility to float to other operating rooms as needed.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure
- Current BLS certification; CNOR preferred.
- A minimum of 2 years of RN experience in the OR with recent cardiovascular/open heart surgery experience.
- Must have circulating experience and general competence in multiple OR specialties.
- Epic EMR experience within the past 2 years is non-negotiable.
- Prior travel experience is required.
- Large (500+ beds) academic teaching hospital experience preferred.
